Hello everyone my name is Wang Yaping. I am a Chinese astronaut and a member of the China Astronaut Corps.

Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by space and the universe. I dreamed of becoming an astronaut one day and I worked hard to make that dream a reality. I studied physics and engineering in school and I joined the military to become a pilot. In 2010 I was selected as a candidate for the China Astronaut Corps and I underwent rigorous training to prepare for spaceflight.

In 2013 I had the honor of being part of the crew for the Shenzhou-10 mission which was China's fifth manned spaceflight. During the mission I carried out a series of experiments and gave a lecture from space which was broadcast across China. It was an incredible experience and I felt privileged to be representing my country and contributing to the advancement of space exploration.

Being an astronaut is not just about going to space it is also about pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and inspiring future generations to pursue their dreams. I hope that my experiences can encourage young people to explore science and technology and to never give up on their aspirations.
