Looking back to my middle school years there was one class that I will never forget. It was my English class taught by a young teacher named Li. She was teaching us a crucial literary work called Qing Ping Yue.

During this class Li first introduced the author's background and the themes of the work to us. The Most Unforgettable Class

It was a class of English in my second grade of middle school that I will never forget. On that day our teacher introduced us to the most commonly used tense in English present perfect tense. The teacher said that this tense represents an action that has been completed but is still associated with the present and it is constructed by have/has + past participle. Then the teacher gave us vivid examples to show us how to use the present perfect tense correctly. During the lesson I seemed to be in a fog and couldn't understand what the teacher was talking about.

Finally the teacher asked us to do an exercise. I guessed and wrote the answer but obviously it was wrong. I felt very depressed and intended to ask the teacher for help. But when I looked up and saw the teacher smiling at me she said "Lily your answer is wrong but it doesn't matter. You have tried and you will get it right next time. Don't give up." I felt very warm as if encouraged by the teacher's words. Moreover the teacher explained this tense to us again on the blackboard and guided us on how to use it.

That class really impressed me. The teacher not only taught us grammar knowledge but also taught us the spirit of trying bravely and never giving up. I found that in the future learning process I can always persist and try bravely and this spirit has gradually become one of my advantages.
